Take a glimpse at Mayan literature on display in bi/trilingual excerpts from Maya Cu, Calixta Gabriel Xiquín, Grupo de Mujeres Mayas Kaqla, Rigoberta Menchú and Humberto Ak'abal.  This website also includes Guatemalan history, lesson ideas for classroom use, lists of Guatemalan women writers, Mayan writers, and web sites being used for Mayan/women's expression.  The Mayan Connection at Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, Nebraska studied the relationship between Native Americans of Nebraska and Mayans through a travel/study project in Guatemala, Honduras and Belize, and this is the result of my search for Mayan women writers.
