Metro Reads!

Metro Reads! is an exciting program that brings all interested members of the Metro community together around a common book during the academic year. Staff, faculty and students are encouraged to read the common book.  Faculty will incorporate the book into curriculum as much as possible.  Check the Calendar link to see the Metro Reads! events and activities scheduled for this year.  Everyone at Metro is encouraged to become a part of Metro’s largest Learning Community—Metro Reads!

All 3 Metro campus libraries having multiple copies for individual check-out, and audio book copies.  The SOC campus library also has a classroom set (20 copies) of For One More Day that can be checked out by any Metro faculty member for use with a class.

For One More Day has been on the New York Times Best Seller list, so we'll be reading a current, widely-read and discussed book. It's a book that every person can relate to because it's about getting in touch with the priorities in your life and valuing what you have before it's too late. It's a short, interesting read--one you won't soon forget. Here's the address to check out the book online: http://www.foronemoreday.com/
